Enrollment Requirements for Each Program

Be at least 18 years old: You need to be a legal adult to join the program.

High school graduate or GED holder: You need a strong foundation of knowledge to succeed in this challenging field. A high school diploma or GED proves you've got what it takes.

No felony convictions: We want to make sure you can legally work inside substations and around critical equipment that supports Americas infrastructure.

Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination

Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside.

Ready to drive line trucks? (CDL applicants only): Prove you can handle the written and drive portions of the CDL test. Brush up on those road rules and get your learner's permit before you start! (Don't forget to bring your Class C and Class A Permit on first day of class.)

Enrollment Process

Three Easy Steps

Step 1

Application

Agree to the Application Agreement (below section) and completely fill out the online application. Once application is completed, ALC will review and make sure you meet the minimum requirements.

Step 2 Application Review

ALC staff will reach out to you within 3 business days to collect the $150 application fee and obtain additional information.

Step 3 Enrollment Agreement

If application is approved and you are selected, the last step is completing ALC's enrollment agreement and paying all lab fee's and tuition.

The information that I have provided is factual and my intent in completing this application is to be considered for enrollment into one of American Lineman College’s programs.

I am at least 18 years of age, I have successfully graduated from high school (or have earned a GED equivalency).

I currently have a valid Class C Driver’s License and I am free from any felony convictions that would prohibit me from working in the power delivery industry.

I understand that this is an application for consideration into one of American Lineman College’s programs and completion of this application, does not guarantee my enrollment. I further understand that the $150.00 application fee is non-refundable.

If I am selected and given the privilege to attend one of American Lineman College’s programs, I promise to uphold the values and professionalism of the school and the trade.

I pledge to assert my best effort in completion of this program and will meet or exceed the measures required to successfully graduate if given the opportunity to attend.
